An electrum dolabra is the electrum dolabra, made by smithing a diamond axe with electrum alloy and a smithing upgrade template. It combines a pickaxe and axe with Fortune III.
Obtaining
Smithing
| Name | Ingredients | Recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Electrum Dolabra | Smithing Template + Diamond Axe + Electrum Alloy |
matcha:smithing/electrum_dolabra |
This upgrade needs a smithing upgrade template; without one, the same diamond axe and alloy make an electrum axe. Because recipes match by item ID, a diamond dolabra works as the base as well.
Usage
Mining
It breaks pickaxe and axe blocks at speed 10 and obsidian, crying obsidian and ender chests at speed 55, with 3000 durability. Unlike the electrum axe, it has no weapon intrinsics.
Matcha Flavoured adds beds, candles, cacti and honeycomb blocks to the blocks that axes break quickly.[1]
Intrinsics
The electrum fortune intrinsic (
) works like Fortune on ores, crops and leaves; the pack's loot tables check for it directly. Electrum tools are the only source of Fortune III in the pack, and the intrinsic cannot be combined with Fortune or Silk Touch.[2] Intrinsics are stored on the item and applied as enchantments when it enters a player's inventory.[3]
Combat
It deals 6 (
× 3) damage at an attack speed of 1.2.
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of diamond. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

Trading
| Villager | Level | Wants | Gives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weaponsmith | Apprentice |
In a blast furnace it melts down into an adamant alloy, not electrum, because electrum shares the netherite item IDs. This makes melting electrum gear a way to turn an electrum alloy into an adamant alloy.[4]
Trading
An apprentice weaponsmith buys it for one electrum alloy, so the alloy can be reused.[5]
Notes
- It uses a netherite item ID, so it does not burn in fire or lava.
History
| 1.03 | Electrum alloy now needs a divine fragment. |
|---|---|
| 1.10 | Electrum was buffed. A weaponsmith now takes the item back in exchange for its alloy, so players can rebuild it with updated stats. |
| 1.12.1-alpha | Smithing no longer takes an ingot in the template slot, and the upgrade keeps the base item's enchantments. Added the "Repaired with" tooltip. Can only be repaired with blocks of diamond. Electrum became the only source of Fortune III. |
| 1.12.2 | No longer burns in fire or lava. Warding was removed from electrum tools so that they focus on Fortune. Moved to the matcha namespace; older copies can be updated with /trigger update_item. Dolabras began to shift from weapon hybrids to pure axe and pickaxe tools; the release notes say their damage and weapon intrinsics will be reduced over time.
