The Matcha Flavoured Wiki is an unofficial encyclopedia of the Matcha Flavoured datapack, modeled on the Minecraft Wiki. It is not made or endorsed by the pack's developer.
Sources
Every article is written from primary sources: the pack's own repository (datapack functions and JSON, and the resource pack's language file) at a fixed commit, the official release notes on Modrinth, and the developer's videos. Where the code and the notes disagree, the wiki describes the code. Many tables, such as recipes, loot and trades, are generated directly from the data, and the "Source" links in references point to the exact files in the repository. The wiki describes the latest release, 1.12.9. Changes already made in the repository but not yet released are marked as upcoming.
How it is written
The articles are generated by a large language model from the sources above, and a second pass checks each one against them. Nothing is taken from other wikis, forums or other people's videos: if a fact can't be found in the pack's files, its release notes or the developer's videos, it stays out. References point to the exact file each fact comes from, so anyone can check it.
The tables of recipes, uses, loot, trades and item stats aren't written at all. Scripts read them straight from the pack's data files, so they always match what the pack ships.
The wiki keeps up with the pack on its own. Every day it checks the pack's repository, its release notes and the developer's channel. When something changes, the tables are regenerated and the articles the change touches are revised and checked again.
It was started by one player who wanted a complete reference for their own game. Mistakes are still possible. If you find one, use the Talk tab on the page to report it.
Credits
- This wiki was set up after matchaflavoured.wiki, which is where a starting set of shared Lua modules and an animation script first came from. Most of those modules are now verified as direct, unmodified copies of modules from the Minecraft Wiki or the RuneScape Wiki (one of which also credits an older Wikipedia revision it was repurposed from); the inventory-slot module and the animation script remain further-adapted for this wiki's tooltips, offsite links and reproducible builds.
- The skin's stylesheets and interface images come from the Minecraft Wiki.
- The logo and site icons use a pixel-art logo by this wiki's maintainer.
- Textures, item icons, station screens and the main page's panorama come from the Matcha Flavoured resource pack, and from vanilla Minecraft where the pack does not replace them. See Credits for the people behind the pack.
