Equipment

Equipment covers the tools, weapons and armor of Matcha Flavoured. The pack rebuilds vanilla progression: stone tools are removed, diamonds must be smelted, and four alloys (shakudo, hepatizon, steel and electrum) join adamant, the renamed netherite.

Progression

1. Wood: first tools.
2. Copper: copper ingots from a mud kiln.
3. Iron: iron ingots from a blast furnace.
4. Diamond: raw diamonds smelted in a blast furnace.

Alloys are then smithed onto base gear at a smithing table (see Alloy): steel onto iron, shakudo and hepatizon onto copper, electrum and adamant onto diamond. Gold is a side tier with Fortune and Looting.

Wooden	Yes	Yes	—	Wooden tools are the first tier. Stone tools do not exist in Matcha Flavoured, so the next tier is copper.
Copper	Yes	Yes	Yes	Copper is the second tier, between wood and iron. Its ingots are smelted in a mud kiln, and copper gear is the base for the shakudo and hepatizon alloys.

Electrum	Yes	Yes	Yes	Electrum is a silver and gold alloy smithed onto diamond gear. Its tools are the only source of Fortune III, and its armor and weapons carry Warding.
Adamant	Yes	Yes	Yes	Adamant replaces netherite. Its armor carries Doom, its weapons inflict Weakness and its tools smelt what they mine.

How pack equipment differs from vanilla

• Vanilla tool and armor recipes are blocked by the data pack's filter and replaced with the pack's own recipes, which set durability, attributes, mining rules and intrinsics as item components. Items crafted before an update keep their old stats.
• Tooltips hide the real attribute lines and show hand-written values instead. A few disagree with the real values; the item pages note each case.
• Intrinsics are stored as stored enchantments and moved onto the item when it enters an inventory, keeping the higher level of any enchantment already present.
• Every piece of equipment can be repaired indefinitely.
• The loot tables under matcha:equipment/ define the canonical version of each item; chest loot and /loot use them.
