An adamant spear is a spear of the adamant tier, made by smithing a diamond spear with adamant alloy.

The upgrade needs no template, and enchantments on the diamond item carry over; where both have the same enchantment, the higher level is kept.[1]
Usage
Combat
It keeps the vanilla netherite spear's stats, 5 ( × 2.5) damage at an attack speed of 0.87, and has 5000 durability. The adamant weapon intrinsic inflicts Weakness II for 8 to 12 seconds on every hit. Weakened mobs are what the Doom intrinsic of adamant armor detonates.[2]
Intrinsics
Sharpness I, Unbreaking II and Weakness. Intrinsics are stored on the item and applied as enchantments when it enters a player's inventory.[3]
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of diamond or adamant scrap. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

Trading
An apprentice weaponsmith buys it for one adamant alloy.[4]
Notes
- The hand-written tooltip hides the real attributes and shows attack damage 4 (real value 5) and attack speed 0.95 (real value 0.87).[5]
