A copper mattock is a mattock of the copper tier, a shovel and hoe in one tool. It is crafted from copper ingots and sticks, and is the earliest mattock a player can make.

Usage

Mining

The copper mattock breaks both shovel and hoe blocks at speed 5, one slower than the copper shovel or copper hoe in exchange for doing both jobs. It has 350 durability. It collects snowballs from snow like a shovel.

Hoes in Matcha Flavoured also break wool, wool slabs and stairs, carpets, glow lichen and phosphor lamps quickly.[1]

Combat

It deals 1 ( × 0.5) damage at an attack speed of 2.

Repairing

It can be repaired in an anvil with copper ingots. As with all equipment in the pack, the repair cost never grows, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

In a blast furnace, it melts down into a copper ingot. Because it uses the copper hoe's item ID, it can also stand in for a copper hoe in the shakudo and hepatizon smithing recipes.

History

1.10 Now drops snowballs from snow. This only applies to newly made mattocks.
