A shakudo hoe is the shakudo hoe, made by smithing a copper hoe with shakudo alloy. Its Silk Touch is useful for collecting leaves.

The upgrade needs no template. Enchantments on the copper item carry over; where both items have the same enchantment, the higher level is kept.[1]
Usage
Farming and mining
It breaks hoe blocks at speed 9 and has 1000 durability. Hoes in Matcha Flavoured also break wool, carpets, glow lichen and phosphor lamps quickly.[2]
Intrinsics
Its Silk Touch intrinsic makes blocks drop themselves. Intrinsics are stored on the item and applied as enchantments when it enters a player's inventory.[3]
Combat
It deals 1 (
× 0.5) damage at an attack speed of 7, because the item adds 3 to the base attack speed of 4.
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of copper. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

An apprentice weaponsmith buys it for one shakudo alloy, which lets the alloy be reused on a fresh copper item.[4]
Notes
- The hand-written tooltip hides the real attributes and shows attack speed 4 (real value 7).[5]
- Shakudo tools reuse the stone tools' item IDs, so they cannot be melted down in a blast furnace.
History

Shakudo alloy became more expensive (2 blocks of gold and 4 blocks of copper instead of 3 gold and 6 copper ingots).
