A hepatizon sword is the hepatizon sword, made by smithing a copper sword with hepatizon alloy. It is a fast, light sword with Riposte II.

The upgrade needs no template, and enchantments on the copper item carry over.

Usage

Combat

It deals 6 ( × 3) damage at an attack speed of 1.9, faster than any sword except the electrum sword, which it ties. It has 1000 durability. While held in the main hand it adds 0.0105 to movement speed, 10.5% of the player's base speed.

Intrinsics

Riposte II is an intrinsic: it is stored on the item and applied when the sword enters a player's inventory.

Repairing

It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of copper. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

An apprentice weaponsmith buys it for one hepatizon alloy, so the alloy can be reused.

Notes

• Hepatizon tools reuse the stone tools' item IDs, so they cannot be melted down in a blast furnace.

History

1.10	Renamed from "Bronze" in the language file only, so existing items keep working. Hepatizon equipment was buffed. A weaponsmith now takes the item back in exchange for its alloy, so players can rebuild it with updated stats.
1.12.1-alpha	Smithing no longer takes an ingot in the template slot, and the upgrade keeps the base item's enchantments. Added the "Repaired with" tooltip.
1.12.2	Moved to the matcha namespace; older copies can be updated with /trigger update_item.
