A diamond pickaxe is the diamond pickaxe, crafted from three diamonds and two sticks. It is the first pickaxe that harvests obsidian, which it breaks unusually fast.

Usage
Mining
It breaks pickaxe blocks at speed 9 and has 2500 durability (vanilla: 1561). Obsidian, crying obsidian and ender chests break at speed 35.[1]
The pack also makes glass, glass panes, glowstone, sea lanterns and mob heads pickaxe blocks.[2]
Combat
It deals 5 ( × 2.5) damage at an attack speed of 1.2.
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with diamonds. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.
Smelting and smithing
In a blast furnace it melts down into one diamond. It is the base for both electrum and adamant upgrades.
