A golden shovel is the golden shovel, crafted from a gold ingot and two sticks. At speed 15 it is the fastest shovel short of hepatizon and adamant.

Usage
Digging
It breaks shovel blocks at speed 15 and has 350 durability. It has Fortune I, which helps with gravel's flint drop, and it collects snowballs from snow. Golden gear comes with its enchantments already applied. They are ordinary enchantments, so they can be combined or removed like any other.
Combat
It deals 2.5 ( × 1.25) damage at an attack speed of 1.
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with gold ingots. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

In a blast furnace it melts down into one gold ingot.
