A wooden hoe is a hoe of the wooden tier, crafted from two planks and two sticks. The pack's README recommends it as one of the first tools: with a campfire, it starts the path to food and the mud kiln.

Usage

Farming

It tills soil and breaks hoe blocks at the vanilla speed of 2, with 200 durability (vanilla: 59). Hoes in Matcha Flavoured also break wool, wool slabs and stairs, carpets, glow lichen and phosphor lamps quickly.[1] Breaking short grass with a hoe has a 12.5% chance to drop wheat seeds.[2]

Combat

It deals 1 ( × 0.5) damage at an attack speed of 1.

Repairing

It can be repaired in an anvil with planks. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

History

1.02 Wheat seeds now drop when a hoe is used on grass.
