An adamant axe is the adamant axe, made by smithing a diamond axe with adamant alloy. It has both the adamant tool intrinsics and the weapon's Weakness effect.

The upgrade needs no template, and enchantments on the diamond item carry over; where both have the same enchantment, the higher level is kept.[1]
Usage
Woodcutting
It breaks axe blocks at speed 15 and has 5000 durability. Logs it cuts drop charcoal. Matcha Flavoured adds beds, candles, cacti and honeycomb blocks to the blocks that axes break quickly.[2]
Combat
It deals 10 ( × 5) damage at an attack speed of 1, tying the steel axe for damage with a faster swing. The adamant weapon intrinsic inflicts Weakness II for 8 to 12 seconds on every hit. Weakened mobs are what the Doom intrinsic of adamant armor detonates.[3]
Intrinsics
Efficiency II, Unbreaking II, smelting and Weakness. The smelting intrinsic makes mined blocks drop their smelted form where the block's loot table supports it: ores drop ingots or silver bullion, logs drop charcoal, sand drops glass and cobblestone drops stone.[4] Intrinsics are stored on the item and applied as enchantments when it enters a player's inventory.[5]
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of diamond or adamant scrap. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.
