Smithing
Main article: Smithing
The base item goes in the base slot and the alloy in the addition slot of a smithing table; the template slot stays empty, except for mattocks, dolabras and claymores, which need a smithing upgrade template.
Design
The alloys were inspired by the Raspberry Flavoured modpack, according to the README.[1] In the video the developer explains that alloy tools are "repaired using their base metal components" so that "even in late game, you'll need to go mining for materials."Klei Wright, "Minecraft punishes casual players. I made a datapack to fix it." (YouTube)
- "All tools can be repaired forever. Alloy tools are repaired using their base metal components, except for adamant, which requires diamond blocks, gold blocks, or adamant scrap to repair. That means even in late game, you'll need to go mining for materials."
