Quartz Deposit is the renamed lapis lazuli ore.
Obtaining
Natural generation
The vanilla lapis feature, changed to 12 attempts per chunk (vanilla 2) between y=−32 and y=96.[1] Where it replaces deepslate it places natural lapis lazuli instead.
Breaking
Mined with a pickaxe (see Tools#Mining levels), it drops 2–5 quartz; adamant tools drop glass. Silk Touch drops the block.[2]
