A diamond mattock is the diamond mattock, a shovel and hoe crafted from three diamonds and two sticks.

Usage
Mining
It breaks shovel and hoe blocks at speed 8, one slower than the diamond shovel or diamond hoe, with 2500 durability. Hoes in Matcha Flavoured also break wool, carpets, glow lichen and phosphor lamps quickly.[1]
Combat
It deals 4 ( × 2) damage at an attack speed of 3.
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with diamonds. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.
Smelting and smithing
It melts down into a diamond. It is a diamond hoe by item ID, so it can replace one in electrum and adamant smithing recipes.
