Native gold is the renamed gold ore.
The deepslate variant is native deepslate gold.
Obtaining
Natural generation
As vanilla gold ore.
Breaking
Mined with a pickaxe (see Tools#Mining levels), it drops 1 raw gold; adamant tools drop a gold ingot. Needs an iron or better pickaxe. Silk Touch drops the block.[1]
Native deepslate gold applies Fortune and the electrum intrinsic to the raw gold, one after the other, like other ores.[2] The raw gold entry of stone native gold is still written in the 26.2 loot format (functions instead of modifier), which Minecraft 26.3 doesn't read, so its raw gold gets neither bonus and is always 1. See Known bugs.[3] Gold ingots from adamant tools get the Fortune and electrum bonuses from both blocks.
History
| 1.12.3 | The table was corrected so that Fortune is no longer applied twice and the electrum intrinsic is included, as for native deepslate gold.[4] |
|---|---|
| 1.12.6-alpha | The raw gold entry of stone native gold is left in the 26.2 loot format, so Fortune and the electrum intrinsic no longer add raw gold.[5] |
