A shakudo helmet is the shakudo helmet, made by smithing a copper helmet with shakudo alloy. It clears Blindness and Darkness.

The upgrade needs no template. Enchantments on the copper item carry over; where both items have the same enchantment, the higher level is kept.[1]
Usage
Armor
It gives 3 armor with 500 durability, the same armor as the matching diamond piece but with no toughness. The full shakudo set gives 20 armor.
Intrinsics
- Cleanse: removes Blindness and Darkness from the wearer whenever it is applied.[2]
- Magic protection: Magic protection adds 8 protection points against magic damage, such as Poison and Instant Damage.[3]
- Regeneration: Every worn piece of shakudo armor counts towards the tier's regeneration: with one piece the wearer gets Regeneration I for 3 seconds every 30 seconds, and each extra piece shortens the interval by 4 seconds, to 26, 22 and 18 seconds. The shakudo elytra counts as one piece. The pack defines an elytra bonus that would count five and grant Regeneration II, but the elytra does not carry it, so four pieces is the most that can be reached (see Set bonus#Shakudo regeneration).[4]
Intrinsics are stored on the item and applied as enchantments when it enters a player's inventory.[5]
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of copper. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

It keeps the copper armor item ID, so a blast furnace melts it into a single copper ingot, and it can be smithed again into hepatizon armor.
Trading
An apprentice weaponsmith buys it for one shakudo alloy, which lets the alloy be reused on a fresh copper item.[6]
