A hepatizon mattock is the hepatizon mattock, made by smithing a copper hoe or copper mattock with hepatizon alloy and a smithing upgrade template.

This upgrade needs a smithing upgrade template; without one, the same copper hoe and alloy make a hepatizon hoe.
Usage
Mining
It breaks shovel and hoe blocks at speed 15 and has 1000 durability. That is slower than the hepatizon shovel and hoe (20) and the same as the golden and adamant shovels. Hoes in Matcha Flavoured also break wool, carpets, glow lichen and phosphor lamps quickly.[1]
Combat
It deals 3 ( × 1.5) damage at an attack speed of 3. While held in the main hand it adds 0.005 to movement speed, 5% of the player's base speed.
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of copper. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

An apprentice weaponsmith buys it for one hepatizon alloy, so the alloy can be reused.[2]
Notes
- The hand-written tooltip hides the real attributes and shows attack damage 3.5 (real value 3).[3]
- Hepatizon tools reuse the stone tools' item IDs, so they cannot be melted down in a blast furnace.
History
