Smithing
Smithing in Matcha Flavoured upgrades base equipment into alloy equipment at a smithing table. The vanilla netherite recipes are blocked.
Alloy upgrades
Each upgrade is a smithing transform with an empty template slot: base item + alloy → alloy item.[1] The smithing table's template slot tooltip is renamed "Add Smithing Template or Leave Empty".
- Iron gear + steel alloy → steel
- Copper gear + shakudo or hepatizon alloy → shakudo or hepatizon
- Diamond gear + electrum or adamant alloy → electrum or adamant
- Elytra + shakudo or hepatizon alloy → alloy elytra
Hybrid upgrades
Mattocks, dolabras and claymores need a smithing upgrade template. The recipes check only the item ID of the base, so the template, not the base, decides the result: a diamond axe with the template becomes a dolabra, and a diamond dolabra without it becomes an axe.
Other smithing
- Silver Sword, Warding Sword and Warding Shield.
- Armor trims, using smithing trim colors.
Enchantments
The result keeps the base item's enchantments; the alloy's intrinsics are added, and where both have the same enchantment the higher level is kept.[2] The tier stats are replaced by the new item's.
