The tools of Matcha Flavoured are the vanilla pickaxe, axe, shovel and hoe, plus two hybrid tools, the mattock and the dolabra, and several special tools. Stone tools are removed: the tiers run wood, copper, iron, then the alloys. Crafted and smithed tools get their stats from the pack's own recipes, which the pack uses instead of the blocked vanilla recipes.[1]

Mining levels
Instead of the vanilla "incorrect tool" tags, pack pickaxes use their own block tags and tool rules.[2][3] The table shows which blocks each pickaxe gets drops from. A speed in a cell is the pickaxe's mining speed on that block, where it differs from its usual speed.

- Gold pickaxes break obsidian, crying obsidian and ender chests without drops.[4]
- Shakudo and hepatizon pickaxes break obsidian without drops. Their rule names only obsidian, so they get drops from crying obsidian and ender chests.[5][6]
- The steel pickaxe and most dolabras have no obsidian rule and mine it normally.
Because the pack's pickaxe rules list #minecraft:mineable/pickaxe as a correct tool without a tier check, a pickaxe gets drops from every pickaxe block its rules don't name, including ancient debris.

Other tools
- Shears: copper, iron, steel and shepherd's shears.
- Compass: copper, golden and titanium.
- Archeologist's Brush, Hatchet, Rusty Axe, Crook.
Removed
Stone tools cannot be crafted, and since 1.12.9, when the pack replaced vanilla's hero-of-the-village gifts from toolsmiths and weaponsmiths, they can't be obtained at all.[7] Their item IDs are reused for steel, shakudo and hepatizon tools and for the silver and warding swords.[8][9]
