A shakudo axe is the shakudo axe, made by smithing a copper axe with shakudo alloy. It is the only shakudo tool with both Silk Touch and the tier's life steal.

The upgrade needs no template. Enchantments on the copper item carry over; where both items have the same enchantment, the higher level is kept.[1]
Usage
Woodcutting
It breaks axe blocks at speed 9 and has 1000 durability. Matcha Flavoured adds beds, candles, cacti and honeycomb blocks to the blocks that axes break quickly.[2]

It deals 9 ( × 4.5) damage at an attack speed of 1.
Intrinsics
Silk Touch applies to blocks it breaks. The life steal intrinsic gives the wielder Regeneration III for 1 second after each hit, except against armor stands, boats, minecarts and sulfur cubes.[3] Intrinsics are stored on the item and applied as enchantments when it enters a player's inventory.[4]
Repairing
It can be repaired in an anvil with blocks of copper. The pack resets repair costs to zero, so it can be repaired indefinitely; see Repairing.

An apprentice weaponsmith buys it for one shakudo alloy, which lets the alloy be reused on a fresh copper item.[5]
Notes
- Shakudo tools reuse the stone tools' item IDs, so they cannot be melted down in a blast furnace.
History

Shakudo alloy became more expensive (2 blocks of gold and 4 blocks of copper instead of 3 gold and 6 copper ingots).
