Matcha Flavoured 0.4-alpha, the "Sulfur Update!", is a release of Matcha Flavoured, published on June 17, 2026. It was the first version for Minecraft 26.2. It adapted the pack to the new vanilla sulfur blocks and added several armor sets and weapons.

Additions

• Sturdy leather armor.
• Chainmail armor.
• Electrum and steel spears.
• The silver sword, warding sword and warding shield.
• The wooden cross.
• Pack equipment added to every chest loot table, and the loot tables buffed.

Blocks and items

• Support for the new vanilla sulfur blocks alongside the existing sulfur chunks.
• Sulfur goo, a retextured slimeball.
• Sulfurous hellstone gives off particles when stepped on.

General

• Translation support for all armor and tools.
• A piglin bartering loot table, which only works while mobGriefing is off.
• Gems can be sold to the jeweler.
• Wake particles behind boats.
• New textures: leather and adamant armor items, baby zombie and zombie villager, and the adamant spear.

Changes

• Prometheus' Prayer buffed to Unbreaking II.
• The bronze (now hepatizon) spear buffed to Lunge III.
• Leather, gold and steel armor now have white name text.
• Armor durability and protection made consistent across tiers: leather < copper < gold, sturdy leather < iron, shakudo, bronze (hepatizon), steel < diamond, electrum < adamant.
• Piglin brutes drop adamant scrap slightly less often, and now also drop divine fragments.
• Skeletons and zombies no longer drop the armor and weapons they hold.
• Cave spiders are fast but have only 2 hearts.
• Creepers have 8 hearts.
• Sulfur cubes are "more cute".
• Sulfur is now the sulfur chunk, with a slightly changed texture.
• Sulfur ores, including sulfurous hellstone, restyled to match the vanilla sulfur blocks.

Fixes

• Shakudo armor could not be crafted.
• Fixed the shakudo sword, and its life-steal enchantment ("Sanguine") no longer works on armor stands.
• Leather and tattered leather unlock the right recipes.
• Warding on electrum tools and weapons did not work.
• Sulfurous quartz drops both sulfur and quartz.

Removals

• Electrum horse armor, for the time being.
• The "You cannot eat right now" warning.

Trivia

• The release notes point out that electrum armor still wards the dead when worn or held by non-players, and that the developer decided to keep this bug because "it seems like a feature".
