Matcha Flavoured 1.02, the "Tutorialisation Hotfix", is a hotfix published on July 26, 2026, the same day as 1.01. It made the early game easier to follow by rewording and rearranging the Tutorial advancements and fixing several early recipe unlocks.

Additions

• A fishing advancement.

Changes

• Steel takes less time to blast.
• The steel advancement was reworded to explain how steel is made.
• The campfire, food and warding weapon advancements were reworded.
• The advancement tree was rearranged to make the order of progression clearer. See Progression.
• Packed mud is crafted from short dry grass instead of tall dry grass, which is cheaper.
• Fortune affects spawners. This was reverted in 1.03.

Fixes

• The "Two in One" advancement works.
• Fixed a brick duplication bug.
• Using a hoe on grass drops wheat seeds (now wheat grain).
• Lapis lazuli unlocks the blue dye recipe.
• The chest recipe unlocks properly.
• The old shulker box recipe was removed, and the correct one unlocks.
• Malachite unlocks when calcite is obtained.
