Mending is an enchantment that repairs an item with experience orbs. The enchantment itself works as in vanilla, but in Matcha Flavoured it is one of the most expensive enchantments to obtain: the developer lists it among "all the enchantments everyone wants".[1]
Obtaining
- The Prayer of Lu Ban, a crafted blessing that needs a Divine Favor, six diamonds and a block of diamond.
- The Prayer of Belial Ofuda, traded from an expert-level Mouthpiece for The Lesser Key of Solomon and two Crystal Hearts.[2]
- Random enchanted books in chests and fishing treasure, and trial chamber vaults.
Behavior
Mending repairs the item when the player picks up experience orbs, as in vanilla. The pack resets every player's experience to 0 each tick, which does not stop Mending from using the orbs, but the player never keeps experience for themselves.[3] Items can also be repaired at an anvil indefinitely, since the pack removes the prior-work penalty; see Repairing.
Its anvil cost multiplier is 1, down from 4.
