| Defined in | anemos.json |
Anemos is an enchantment added by Matcha Flavoured that makes a sword fire a wind charge with every hit.
Obtaining
- Prayer of Aeolus, a crafted blessing that also stores Wind Burst I.
- Iron swords in the tower and barracks chests of the Abbey come with Anemos.[1]
Anemos has a maximum level of I and cannot appear on random enchanted books.
Usage
Anemos can be applied to wooden, stone, copper, iron, diamond and netherite (adamant) swords, and to sticks. Golden swords and maces cannot take it. Its anvil cost multiplier is 0.
Behavior
When the wielder hits a mob, the enchantment runs a function that summons a wind charge in front of the player's eyes (0.75 blocks ahead) and launches it in the direction the player is looking at 2.5 blocks per tick.[2][3] The same function is also attached to the enchantment's hit_block effect.
After each wind charge, Anemos has a cooldown of 10 ticks (0.5 seconds), the same as throwing a wind charge; hits during the cooldown fire nothing. The wind charge is owned by the player, so kills with it are credited to the player, and Abbey advancements that check for the player's wind charges detect it.
History
| 1.10 | Can no longer be applied to maces. The wind charge is now owned by the enchanted player, so kills with it count.[4] |
|---|---|
| 1.12.1-alpha | Now affects only the wielder in multiplayer. |
| 1.12.2 | Moved from the main to the matcha namespace. Items with the old enchantment are converted when held.
