Creeper
| Type | Hostile mob |
|---|---|
| Health points | Easy: 14 ( Normal: 16 ( Hard: 18 ( |
| Spawn | Overworld, underground below Y=63 |
| Drops |
A creeper in Matcha Flavoured lives only underground. It can't spawn where it can see the sky or at sea level and above, so creepers are met in caves rather than on the surface. Creepers also have a little less health than in vanilla.
Spawning
Creepers use the vanilla biome spawn lists, but any creeper that appears where it can see the sky, or at Y=63 or above, is removed at once, unless it is inside trial chambers or an abbey.[1][2] This rule applies from the start of the world, not only after the Ender Dragon is killed. See Spawning.
Drops
Creepers use the vanilla loot table. Their gunpowder is renamed
Sulfur Chunk.

History
| 0.4-alpha | Creepers have 8 hearts. |
|---|---|
| 0.6-alpha | Only the undead spawn in open areas of the Overworld. |
| 1.10 | Creepers no longer spawn in forests, only underground. Health depends on difficulty. |
Trivia
- The design video says "I gave creepers a little less health" and that creepers "prefer living in caves or forests".[6] Since 1.10 they have been limited to caves.
