Matcha Flavoured 1.12.5, "Minor Bug Fixes", is the current version of Matcha Flavoured, published on October 10, 2026, five days after 1.12.4. It is a second bug-fix patch for Minecraft 26.2, and the developer writes that it will be the last update for 26.2 unless a major game-breaking bug turns up, so that they can work on 26.3. Only the datapack changed; the resource pack of 1.12.3 is still current. The release notes ask builders to help with structures for the next update.

1.12.5 was made from the pack's 26.2 branch. The Minecraft 26.3 port continues on the repository's 26.3 branch and has no newer release than the 1.12.3 alpha, so this wiki describes 1.12.5 for 26.2; content only in the 26.3 port is marked as upcoming. See Upcoming features.

Fixes

• Green Curry, Japanese Curry, Paneer Makhani, Pumpkin Curry and Tonkotsu Ramen can no longer be cooked on a campfire (Kindling); their campfire recipes were removed.
• The fishing junk table loads again (1.12.4 had a trailing comma in it), so junk catches give items again, and the frog, tadpole and axolotl can be fished. The release notes add that this fix doesn't cover modded biomes.
• Aura foods such as Glow Berry Mash work again. The advancements that start the aura required the food's custom data to be exactly the aura marker, which stopped matching once 1.12.4 added a version number to the custom data of newly made items; they now only check that the marker is there.
• The item updater no longer turns ordinary items into pack items: holding any book turned it into an Angler's Almanac, any shield into a warding shield and any bow into a compound bow. The updater's checks for these three items accepted the plain base item. The fix is partial for all three: a plain book, shield or bow in the off hand still makes the updater turn a plain one in the main hand into the pack item (see Known bugs).
• Foxes drop fox pelts and raw flesh again: the fox loot table, which 1.12.4 broke, can be loaded.
• The village chest loot tables name their bread, apple and sweet berry loot tables at the folder those moved to before 1.12.3; since then those entries had given nothing. The pack's abandoned villages have no loot-table chests, so this changes nothing in a new world. See Chest loot#Village.
• The release notes also list "various earring bugs" without saying what they were; no file about earrings differs between the 1.12.4 and 1.12.5 releases.

The release notes add that updating to 1.12.5 doesn't show the "New player has been updated" message, and that this is intentional.

Bugs

• Now that the junk table loads, its fish bones come from the loot table that builds them on an ender pearl, so fished fish bones can be thrown and don't work as bones. See Known bugs.
• Plain books, shields and bows can still become Angler's Almanacs, warding shields and compound bows through the off-hand check (above).
