Cocoa beans roast into chocolate in an oven in 5 seconds or on kindling in 10 seconds. Picking up cocoa beans unlocks the recipe. Cooked chocolate stacks to 64.[2]

Milking a mooshroom

Since 1.12.6-alpha, using a bowl on a mooshroom gives suimono (called clear mushroom soup until 1.12.8-beta) instead of chocolate.[3] Before, it gave the vanilla mushroom stew, which the pack's resource pack names and draws as chocolate: a plain mushroom stew without the cooked chocolate's tooltip, Haste and stack size.[4]

Usage

Food

Eating chocolate takes 0.8 seconds, heals 2 ( × 1) and gives Haste I for 0:30.

Obtaining chocolate unlocks the chocolate chip cookie and the brownie.

Advancements

  • Powerful Flavors: cook an intrinsic ingredient. Obtaining any of the 11 simple preparations of the ordinary intrinsic ingredients completes it.[5]

History

1.12.3 Fixed the chocolate item model, which was in the wrong namespace so chocolate didn't show its texture.[6] Cooked chocolate no longer sets a stack size of 64, so it stacks only to 1 like a vanilla mushroom stew.
1.12.4 Chocolate stacks to 64 again.[7][8]
1.12.6-alpha Cooking on kindling takes 10 seconds, up from 5.[9][10] Milking a mooshroom with a bowl gives clear mushroom soup instead of chocolate.
