An apple is a raw ingredient whose intrinsic is  Regeneration. Eaten raw, it heals 2 (Heart × 1).[1] Cooked into a baked apple, preserved as canned apples or baked into an apple empanada, it grants Regeneration for 10 seconds, 1 minute and 3 minutes.

Oak and dark oak leaves drop apples. The leaves' loot table has two independent apple rolls when broken without shears or Silk Touch, each with a 0.75% chance: one is increased by Fortune and the other by the Electrum tool intrinsic, both to 0.9%, 1.5%, 2% and 4% at levels I to IV.[2]

Chance is the probability that a single chest, mob or catch yields at least one, assuming no Looting, Luck or Fortune.

Replacement

An apple without the pack's tooltip (for example one given by another mod or datapack) is replaced with the pack's apple when it enters the inventory of a player who is not in Creative mode, one at a time.[3]

Usage

Food

Eating an apple heals 2 (Heart × 1). It keeps its vanilla nutrition, which has no lasting effect because hunger is removed.

Picking up an apple unlocks the baked apple recipe. Apples are cooked into baked apples before they can be preserved or baked, and are also used raw in golden apples, apple cinnamon oatmeal and mead.
