Fishing junk

Fishing junk is the least valuable category of fishing loot. A catch is junk 10% of the time in most biomes, less with Luck of the Sea, and 95% of the time in biomes without fish.[1]

Loot

All biomes share the base items. Three groups of biomes add one or two items of their own, which changes every item's share.[2]

Item Count Weight Share (most biomes, of 78) Jungles (of 88) Swamps (of 93) Dripstone and Lush Caves (of 88)

Jungles are Jungle, Sparse Jungle and Bamboo Jungle. Swamps are Swamp and Mangrove Swamp. Multiply a share by 0.1 for its chance per catch in a fish biome (for example, a lily pad is 2.18% of all catches).

Estus Ash was added to junk so that players on Peaceful can get it.[3] Most junk plays the junk catch sound. Fish bones, nautilus shells, axolotls, frogs and tadpoles have their own.

History

0.5-alpha Swamps get their own junk.
1.10 Biomes without fish fall back to junk at weight 85.
1.12.1-alpha Added Estus Ash.
