Fishing sounds

Fishing sounds are custom sounds that play when a catch is reeled in. The sound depends on what was caught. They were made by the community contributor Imtlx.[1]

Mechanics

Each sound is an advancement with a fishing_rod_hooked trigger. Its reward function plays the sound to that player alone and revokes the advancement so it can fire again.[2] The sounds use the Jukebox/Note Blocks volume slider.

Bugs

The treasure sound checks the Crystal Heart for the item model matcha:crystal_heart, but fished Crystal Hearts use matcha:heart_container. A fished Crystal Heart therefore plays no sound.[4][5]
