Poplar is a wood type that the resource pack has textures for, in preparation for its arrival in a future version of Minecraft. Poplar does not exist in Minecraft 26.2, the version Matcha Flavoured is built for, so none of these textures appear in game yet.
Textures
The resource pack contains:[1]
- Poplar log (side and top), with dark brown bark, and the top of the stripped poplar log.
- Poplar planks in a pale grey, and a vertical version used for doubled poplar slabs (see Vertical slabs).[2]
- Poplar leaves in three autumn colors, red, orange and yellow, each with textures for the outer top and bottom of a leaf block.[3]
The leaf models also point at a main texture for each color (block/red_poplar_leaves and so on) that is not in the pack yet.
History
The release notes of 1.12.1-alpha say that poplar was added to the stonecutter and that a poplar sapling recipe was added, but the current source has no poplar recipes. The developer's to-do list for the Minecraft 26.3 port still lists poplar leaf crafting and loot tables as work to be done.[4]

Trivia
- The developer wrote in the 1.12.2-beta notes, about the 26.3 port: "No one is more excited about yellow leaves than me, trust."[5]
