A torch is a basic light source. Matcha Flavoured doubles its recipe output and adds an early recipe from dry grass.

matcha:crafting/torch_from_short_dry_grass

Coal or charcoal on a stick makes 8 torches, where vanilla makes 4. Short dry grass on a stick makes 4. The vanilla recipe is removed.[1][2][3]
