Sulfur blocks are the yellow stone blocks of the sulfur caves: sulfur, potent sulfur, polished sulfur, sulfur bricks and chiseled sulfur, with their slabs, stairs and walls. They are vanilla blocks. Matcha Flavoured ties them to its sulfur chunk item (vanilla gunpowder), so sulfur can be broken down into chunks and built back up, and changes the recipes for the chiseled and potent forms.
Obtaining
Sulfur blocks generate in sulfur caves as in vanilla.

- Four sulfur chunks in a square make 4 blocks of sulfur.[1]
- Nine sulfur chunks or blocks of sulfur, in any mix, make one block of potent sulfur, replacing the vanilla recipe that takes nine sulfur blocks.[2]
- Four sulfur bricks in a square make 4 chiseled sulfur, replacing the vanilla recipe of two stacked slabs. A stonecutter also cuts sulfur into chiseled sulfur.[3]
- Polished sulfur, sulfur bricks and every slab, stairs and wall are made as in vanilla, by crafting or in a stonecutter.
- Two slabs of sulfur, polished sulfur or sulfur bricks craft back into the full block.
The vanilla recipes for chiseled sulfur and potent sulfur are removed.[4] Picking up a block of sulfur unlocks the pack's sulfur recipes.[5]
Usage
- A block of sulfur crafts into 1 sulfur chunk, and a block of potent sulfur into 9.[6][7]
- Blocks of sulfur can stand in for sulfur chunks in the potent sulfur recipe.
Four chunks make four blocks and each block gives back one chunk, so the conversion loses nothing. Potent sulfur is a compact way to store sulfur chunks, nine to a block.
Appearance
The resource pack gives chiseled sulfur its own texture.[8] The pack's sulfur ores (sulfur deposit, sulfurous quartz deposit and sulfurous hellstone) were retextured to match the vanilla sulfur blocks.[9]
