This is the Matcha Flavoured version of Farmer, renamed or changed from vanilla Minecraft.

The Farmer is a villager profession that sells seeds, flowers and young farm animals. Its job site block is the Composter Composter. Unlike the vanilla farmer, it buys no crops.

All trades can be used 999 times before restocking.[1]

  • The Novice trades sell 64 bone meal and pre-filled bundles: the Seed Bundle, Floral Bundle, Mushy Bundle and Exotic Seed Bundle. The Exotic Seed Bundle also costs a jungle sapling. A Novice farmer offers 3 of these 5 trades, chosen at random.[2]
  • The Apprentice and Journeyman trades sell livestock: fertilized eggs, calves and piglets, which are spawn eggs for baby animals. Each breed is only offered when the farmer is in a biome of the matching climate, so a farmer offers the chicken, cow and pig variants of its own region.[3] The biome lists are on the Livestock page.
  • The farmer has no Expert or Master trades. Those levels use a placeholder trade that the game discards.[4]

Like every villager, a farmer that has been traded with will also buy its favorite food once.

Behavior

A farmer harvests and replants crops as in vanilla. Since 1.12.9 a fully grown tomato crop broken by a villager drops 2 tomatoes and 2 tomato seeds, so farmers can replant tomatoes; before, the crop dropped no seeds.[5]

A farmer gives a player with the Hero of the Village effect seeds, crops, mushrooms, bone meal or a fertilized egg (see Hero of the Village#Farmer).[6]

History

1.12.1-alpha Wheat drops Straw instead of tall dry grass, so that farmers can pick it up.

October 31, 2026 		Farmers can replant tomatoes. The Mushy Bundle holds 16 each of red, brown and shelf mushrooms and glow lichen instead of 21 each of red and brown mushrooms and glow lichen, and the carrots and berries in the seed bundles heal. Hero of the Village gifts are the pack's own.[7][8]
