Topaz is a gem found in ancient city chests. It is used to buy Topaz Earrings from the Jeweler and is the most valuable of the four gems.
Obtaining

Topaz is one of the weighted treasures in ancient city chests, alongside Crystal Hearts and Divine Fragments.[1]
Chance is the probability that a single chest, mob or catch yields at least one, assuming no Looting, Luck or Fortune.

Advancements
Obtaining topaz grants Canto IV ("Raid Tartarus") in the Tutorial tab, which rewards two Crystal Hearts. It follows Canto III and is the last of the four.[3]
