World generation

World generation in Matcha Flavoured uses the vanilla terrain, but the pack changes biomes, ores, structures and dimension settings so that the world feels older, emptier and more dangerous. Most changes only appear in newly generated chunks.
Terrain and biomes
Main article: Biomes
- 65 biomes are overridden: Husks spawn nearly everywhere, colors are changed, and the Pale Garden has no hostile mobs.
- Beaches have blue orchids and cornflowers; deserts have no flowers.
Ores
See also: Ores
- Native Silver (emerald ore) generates rarely in almost every biome deep underground, and more often in mountains.
- Quartz Deposits (lapis ore) are six times as common and reach Y=96.
- Very large Coal Deposit veins generate at deepslate level under deserts.
Structures
Main article: Structures
- New: the Abbey.
- Replaced: villages became abandoned villages and pillager outposts became Papal Outposts.
- Changed: Dungeons are more common and their spawner mobs drop nothing; the Igloo and a Woodland Mansion room are changed; every chest loot table is changed (see Chest loot).
Dimensions
Main article: Dimensions
- The Overworld uses "true darkness".
- The Nether is called Hell. It has no gravel, has natural Hellspore, and water cannot be placed in it.
