Effects, also called status effects, are the timed modifiers that come from food, intrinsics and some items. Matcha Flavoured takes most vanilla potion effects out of brewing and puts them into food instead. Each ingredient carries one effect, and cooking it into more elaborate dishes makes the effect last longer.[1]
Obtaining
Food is the main source. The effect a food grants is shown in its tooltip as a line in blue, with the pack's icon for the effect and the duration (for example
Resistance (8:00) on a pumpkin empanada).[2] Equipment intrinsics such as Warding or Divinity apply their effects while the item is worn or held. See each effect's page for a full list of its sources.
Healing from food is a hidden
Regeneration III effect that doesn't appear on the HUD. The hearts at the top of a food's tooltip show how much it heals. See Health.
List of effects
The table counts the distinct foods, items and enchantments that grant each effect in the current version. Hidden healing is not counted.
